Newbold Morris, who has been active in the antiwar appealing his separation from the Marine Corps Reserve, in which he held the rank of captain. -3 Morris, son of the late New York City parks commissioner, was involuntarily separated from the Marine Corps last month, ostensibly because he had twice been passed over for promotion. In a letter to the secretary of the Navy, Morris said he was appealing the action not for his own sake "but because I believe the military establishment should have at least a few officers who have studied and recognize nationalism even when their seniors call 'Communist Morris was: ordered by the Marine Corps to stop using his former rank "in any advertising or other personal endeavors which would lead individuals to believe you were still aftiliated with the Marine Corps Reserve." Morris has purchased newspaper space for statements of opposition to the war and support for draft resisters. His former rank of captain was mentioned in the ads.
Bank Robbers Get $25,000 11 MELROSE (AP) Two masked men held up the Highland branch of MelroseWakefield Trust Co. Monday and escaped with an estimated $25,000 in cash. Police said the men, believed to have been armed, -tive customers and three employes to lie on the floor while the robbers helped themselves to money from cash drawers. Officials said there were no injuries. Police said the bank has been the scene of several similar robberies in recent years.
